The Engraved Oak difference

Carved in, not printed on

Every letter on your board is cut into the oak at an angle with a V-shaped tool, physically removing wood to leave a crisp, shadowed groove. It's slower than the alternative, but it lasts.

Most cheaper personalised boards use laser etching, which only chars the surface. That layer fades and can wear smooth within a year or two of washing and chopping. A V-carve is part of the board itself, so it ages the way the rest of the oak does.

  • Deeper, more dimensional lettering with visible shadow
  • Won't fade, bleach, or wash away over time
  • Cut by hand in our workshop, board by board
